Free Halloween Song
Ahhh....Halloween. I really look forward to this time of year. It's so great to see the students' faces light up when they see all the Halloween decorations and their friends dressed up as superheroes, princesses, and all kinds of wonderful costumes.
Every year around this time we sing the song Go Away, which the kids really enjoy. We also enjoy singing Eensey Weensey Spider and Five Little Pumpkins.
This year we wanted to make another simple song that teaches the basics of Trick or Treating and introduces the names of some popular Halloween costumes. We also wanted the song to be fun, not scary, and full of movement. The result is Knock Knock, Trick or Treat? and it's available now for FREE at the Super Simple Songs website.

While you're there, be sure to take a look at all the free worksheets and handouts Troy-sensei has created.
Have you picked out your Halloween costume for this year yet?

Hello! I found your blog while doing a Technorati search for Nancy Stewart (I interviewed her for my blog a few weeks ago). I'm pleased to see a blog that focuses on early childhood education and music. For an early childhood Halloween story, I'm planning on posting Jean Stangl's The Little Orange House, and thought you might like to use it too in your classroom. Do you know it? Here's a link:http://www.dcrafts.com/orangehouse.htm

Hey Devon,
I was staying with Tanja recently, and had the opportunity to listen to some of your songs. Got hooked, even though I teach "biggies" in Australia! Your 'vocal talents' are quite impressive... Look out Wiggles! :)
All the best,
Erika

I can't believe how much you can devote yourself for kids english education.
Every time I read your blog, feel ecouraged. our school is very small, cozy. I'm a manager, our teacher is exactly passionate for teaching, we use mainly text books but his way is so drawing students interest.
I just serve coffee for them and observe kids lessons.
It's heaven for me!
